Thursday Night it’s Houston at Philadelphia 8:20 pm

It’s going to be a great game between these two teams so head on over to Bethorizon and get your 100% Sign up bonus.

Houston snapped a four-game losing streak with a 20-0 victory over Tennessee, though the Texans’ first shutout since 2004 was against rookie quarterback Rusty Smith, who was making his first NFL start. It will be a little more difficult for Houston’s 31st-ranked pass defense against Eagles QB Michael Vick and his deep-threat receivers: DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant. Houston has given up 25 TD passes and allowed opposing quarterbacks a 102.8 passer rating. The Texans will try to keep Vick and company off the field by pounding the ball with running back Arian Foster, the league’s leading rusher. Houston QB Matt Schaub has not thrown an interception in three games, and if Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel (knee) misses his second straight game, Schaub will be busy throwing the ball to Andre Johnson, the league’s reigning boxing champion.

New England at Detroit 12:30 pm
New Orleans at Dallas 4:15 pm
Cincinnati at N.Y. Jets 8:20 pm

Monday Night Football and it’s the Broncos and Chargers

If the San Diego Chargers hope to win their fifth straight AFC West title, it surely rests on the right arm of Philip Rivers. The Denver Broncos, meanwhile, have been relying mainly on Kyle Orton.

The top two passers in the NFL meet Monday night when the Chargers look for their first division victory against the visiting Broncos.

Rivers and Orton are on pace to challenge Dan Marino’s single-season record of 5,084 passing yards set in 1984. Rivers leads the NFL with 2,944 yards, and Orton is second with 2,806.

“Bombs away,” Denver defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson said. “It might be 800 yards.”

While the anticipated aerial fireworks are the main storyline, this is a pivotal contest for both teams’ playoff hopes. Oakland and Kansas City lead the West at 5-4, with San Diego (4-5) one game back and Denver (3-6) two back.

“Everyone wants to talk about the race and the position that everyone’s in,” Chargers coach Norv Turner said. “I really think we came to the conclusion that the best thing to do is go win a game at a time and not get caught up in the race.”

The Chargers have won two straight but are 0-2 within the division, and know that another AFC West loss could be fatal.

Monday Night Football and it’s the Eagles and Redskins

Bethorizon has your 100% Sign Up bonus now for Tonight’s Game

The first meeting between the two sides occurred on October 3 at McNabb’s former stomping grounds at Lincoln Financial Field. Buoyed by a strong first half performance by the Redskins and an injury to Michael Vick, McNabb and Co. took home the game 17-12, bringing their NFC East record to 2-0. But much has changed since that Week 4 meeting. Coming off their bye, the Redskins have spent two weeks dealing with the ramifications of Mike Shanahan’s decision to pull McNabb from their Week 7 loss to the Detroit Lions in the game’s closing minutes.

Eagles RB LeSean McCoy poses a threat to Redskins defense

The Redskins limited speedy Eagles wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin to only four receptions for 34 yards and no touchdowns during Washington’s 17-12 victory in Week 4.

But second-year running back LeSean McCoy had a big game with 12 receptions for 112 yards (a 9.2-yard average). He also rushed for 64 yards with a 4.0-yard average.

“They got a heck of a running back,” defensive coordinator Jim Haslett said. “Really, going into the [first] game, I didn’t know he was as good as he is.”

McCoy has rushed for 572 yards (with a 4.7-yard average) and five touchdowns. The former Pittsburgh standout also has 40 receptions for 308 yards (a 7.7-yard average). McCoy is the type of young back the Redskins should have drafted – for years – in preparation of Clinton Portis reaching the end of the guaranteed portion of his contract after this season.

Houston Texans VS Indianapolis Colts

November 1, 2010
8:30 PM ET on ESPN

Late Monday afternoon, we’ll see the obligatory shot of Peyton Manning walking into Lucas Oil Stadium in a sharp suit. For many big-time players, it’s the standard pre-uniform uniform.

In the case of Manning and the Colts, it’s fittingly symbolic.

The Indianapolis Colts are out looking for retribution when they host the Houston Texans in the Monday Night’s Football Matchup.
